As announced towards the end of last year (2022) changes are currently underway to simplify the previous three Divisional Websites and consolidate them down to one. This is in anticipation of significant changes to our national communication channels.
Many brethren will be aware that work has already begun on assessing potential solutions to replace the current Freemasons New Zealand Membership System. As that initiative advances plans are also in train to refresh the look and feel of the Freemasons New Zealand website. Over the coming months many of the resources on this website will move to the national website. Brethren have been telling us that they want to go to a single website to access masonic resources and content. We have been listening!
Over the Christmas break we've been busy decluttering. Much of the old content on the Divisional Websites has either been thrown in the skip; or boxed up in virtual storage boxes and put into storage. Some may see the light of day at some future stage.
For now - most of what you need to access to actively participate as a freemason in New Zealand is on this page. Down the left hand side - are all the 'socials' - Facebook pages for all Districts in New Zealand - and for those Divisions that have them.
During the decluttering process we've also dusted off the odd gem or two. Most notably we've resurrected and revitalised the "View National Circulars" resource. This means you can keep up with all of the Circulars coming out of National Office without having to hassle your Lodge Secretary.
And one final bonus - most of the pages are now 'responsive' which means they will scale properly for your smartphone, iPad or Tablet. We have also, where possible, updated the 'forms' (such as 'Advise a Masonic Meeting' to fit on smaller screens such as your smartphone or tablet.
So all in all - while we have removed most of the individual divisional personalisation - it hasn't been at the expense of the resources you need most.
We also plan to update this page every few weeks so you're not having to look at our mugshots every time you land on this page.
Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2023.
